Mickey Mouse figures are the only Rosenthal figures which have been faked. Detecting fakes in photographs is difficult if not impossible - from studying the pictures shown here the only figure which I think is real is the first one, which clearly has curved ears. In the first half of 2003 a large number of Mickey Mouse figures appeared on eBay, many of which are illustrated below. I understand that most if not all of these are fakes, made recently in Poland. Most have accurate marks on the bottom including the Bahnhof Selb raised cartouche, and have slight staining/wear on the bottom rim. Some have two airholes, which is not characteristic of authentic Rosenthals! The fakes can be distinguished as follows: *their weight is about double the originals' (50g instead of 25g) *the painting is very new looking *The ears are flat, thick discs. The originals were thin, shaped curves, and were possibly not round. I hope to soon add a picture to this page which clearly shows the differences.

Mickey Mäuser sind der einzige Rosenthalfigurfalschungen. Falschungen sind sehr schwer in Fotos zu sehen - von der BIlder hier glaube ich dass nur das erste ist eine Richtige, mit gerundet Ohren. In erste hälfte 2003 viele Mickey Mäuser war auf eBay, einige sind unten zu sehen. Ich glaube dass die meisten sind Falschungen, in POland gemacht. Dir Marken sind sehr gut, mit den Bahnhof-Selb Relief. Unten scheinen Sie alt, mit alten Farben usw. Einige habe zwei Luft-hohle, der ist nicht von Rosenthal richtig! Die Falschungen können so gesehen: *grosser Gewicht (50 g nicht 25g) *das Maleri erscheint sehr neu *die Ohren sind flache runde disken, sowie eine Schalplatte. Dir richtige haben dunne, gerundet Ohren Ich hoffe das bald eine Bild hier zu sehen würde, der die Anderungen sehen kann.
